cANDLE cARE

Proper candle care is essential for maximizing the life of your candle

1.

Prior to each lighting trim the wick to 1/4 inch.  This ensures a long lasting candle, minimized soot, and removes mushrooming at the tip of your wick.

2.

Upon first use allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the container (generally 2-4 hours).  Failure to do this will often times create "funneling" and reduce the life of your candle.

3.

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.  Keep the wick pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.

4.

Always keep your lit candle on a heat resistant surface.  Keep out of reach of children and pets.

5.

Never touch a burning candle, or move a candle when the wax is liquid.  Never put out candles with water, and make sure candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is not glowing before leaving the room.

6.

When the wax level is at 1/4 inch please discontinue use.  Discard remaining wax once cool, remove wick, and wash container with soap and water to reuse.

7.

All of our candles are hand poured using natural soy wax.  You may notice that after your first burn the top may cure with cracks or bumps. This is completely normal with soy wax and will not affect the scent throw of your candle.  Leaving the lid off until the candle is completely cooled will help to minimize the bumps and cracks.
